Precision at every step.

The right combination of processes is determined by the water analysis and your quality target.

01

Filtration

Filtration is a key building block of pre-treatment. The process is selected according to the feed water and the subsequent treatment stages – from cartridge and bed filtration through to ultrafiltration.

Cartridge filtration

Cartridge filtration provides reliable removal of suspended solids and fine particles from water and process fluids. Depending on the application, cartridges are available in various materials, lengths and filtration ratings. They can be used as pre-filters to protect downstream equipment such as reverse osmosis membranes, pumps and other sensitive components. Our solutions include melt-blown, pleated and high-flow cartridges, as well as suitable filter housings for different flow rates and operating conditions.

Bed filtration

Bed filtration uses specially selected filter media to remove suspended solids, turbidity, iron, manganese and other contaminants from water. Depending on the required treatment, systems can be equipped with sand, activated carbon, multimedia or other specialised media. Automatic backwashing restores filtration performance and supports reliable long-term operation. Bed filters are available as single or duplex systems and can be designed according to the required flow rate and water quality.

Ultrafiltration

Ultrafiltration is a membrane-based process that removes suspended solids, colloids, bacteria and other microorganisms from water. Its fine and consistent separation provides excellent protection for downstream processes, including reverse osmosis and purified water systems. UF systems can operate continuously and can be equipped with automatic flushing, backwashing and integrity testing. The technology is suitable for industrial, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, and other applications requiring consistently high water quality.

Membrane filtration – reverse osmosis

Reverse osmosis (RO) is a membrane-based technology used to remove dissolved salts, organic compounds and other impurities from water. By applying pressure, water is forced through a semi-permeable membrane, producing high-quality permeate while retaining contaminants in the concentrate stream. RO systems can be designed as single-pass or double-pass configurations, depending on the required product-water quality. Our customised solutions combine reliable operation, high recovery rates and efficient use of water and energy. RO technology is widely used in pharmaceutical, food and beverage, cosmetics, power generation and other industrial applications.

Ion exchange

Ion exchange is a proven water treatment technology used to remove unwanted dissolved ions from water. Depending on the application, ion exchangers can be used for water softening, demineralisation, dealkalisation or polishing. The process uses specially selected resins that exchange undesirable ions, such as calcium and magnesium, for more suitable ions. Our systems are designed for reliable operation, efficient regeneration and consistent product-water quality. Ion exchange technology can be applied as a stand-alone treatment or combined with reverse osmosis and other purification processes.

A.R.T. Advanced Regeneration Technology

A conductivity sensor in the drain line of the softener monitors the regeneration in real time and ends it as soon as it is complete. As a result, the system uses 25 % less salt and less flushing water than a conventionally controlled softener.

Electrodeionisation

Electrodeionisation (EDI) is a continuous water purification technology that combines ion-exchange resins, ion-selective membranes and an electric field. It removes residual dissolved ions from reverse osmosis permeate to produce water of consistently high purity. Unlike conventional ion-exchange systems, EDI operates without chemical regeneration, reducing chemical consumption, wastewater generation and handling requirements. The technology provides continuous operation and stable product-water quality with low maintenance requirements. EDI is widely used in pharmaceutical, power generation, electronics and other high-purity water applications.

Degassing

Degassing is used to remove dissolved gases, such as carbon dioxide and oxygen, from water. Membrane degassing provides efficient gas removal without the need for chemical treatment, improving the performance of downstream purification processes. Removing carbon dioxide can reduce the ionic load on EDI systems and support consistently high product-water quality. Oxygen removal helps minimise corrosion in sensitive industrial systems and distribution loops. Degassing systems can be integrated into new or existing water treatment plants according to the specific process requirements.

Disinfection

Disinfection is an essential step in controlling microorganisms and maintaining the microbiological quality of water. Depending on the application, systems may use UV irradiation, ozone, hot-water sanitisation or chemical disinfection. The appropriate method is selected based on the required water quality, system design and applicable industry standards. Effective disinfection helps prevent microbial growth and biofilm formation in treatment systems, storage tanks and distribution loops. Our solutions can be integrated into both new and existing water treatment systems.

Contaminant removal

Effective water treatment begins with identifying the contaminants present in the feed water and understanding their impact on the process. Depending on the application, these may include suspended solids, hardness, dissolved salts, organic compounds, microorganisms, dissolved gases, iron, manganese and silica. We combine suitable treatment technologies to remove these contaminants and achieve the required water quality. Each solution is designed according to the feed-water analysis, process requirements and applicable industry standards. Our customised systems provide reliable protection for production processes, equipment and downstream purification stages.
