The USF Water Group has successfully completed the FAT for two water units within 2 weeks. One system is a Purified Water System UltiMATE 2500 HW for a Dutch pharmaceutical customer – the second unit is a 15.000 l/h RO unit for an Austrian algae producer. Each softener of the UltiMATE can be sanitized separately from each other. The softener unit BioSOFT is equipped with the unique hardness monitor SofTEC by USF, which doesn’t need any consumables like titration liquids.

Furthermore the loop piping in stainless steel from the PW unit to the tank and back has been installed by an USF installation team in Netherlands. The commissioning and qualification of both systems is scheduled for beginning of next year.

Now it is official – we are very proud to announce that the USF Water Group has been awarded a contract for two Purified Water systems with a capacity of 20 m³/h each. The contract from an Austrian pharmaceutical customer includes two PW systems UltiMATE 20000 HW with a capacity of 20.000 l/h each, two UltiSOFT 3000 water softener with single valve operation and a central brine make-up unit. The softener and RO/CEDI can be sanitized using hot water, in which each softener can be sanitized separately from each other. The softener unit UltiSOFT is equipped with the unique hardness monitor SofTEC by USF, which doesn’t need any consumables like titration liquids.

The completion and delivery of the water treatment unit is scheduled for July/August 2018.

USF Water Purification has been awarded a contract from an Austrian customer to manufacture a RO system for the new production facility for algae. It will be the biggest facility made for the production of algae within Europe. The RO15000 plant with a capacity of 15.000 l/h will be working with an antiscalant dosing unit and will be controlled by a Siemens S7-PLC together with a 7” touch panel. The RO can be cleaned and sanitized by a fully-automatic cleaning program.

The completion and delivery of the water treatment unit is scheduled for October/November 2017.

The UltiMATE 2500 HW plant with a capacity of 2.500 l/h and a BioSOFT 400 MW/HW water softener in multiway operation were chosen. The softener and RO/CEDI can be sanitized using hot water, in which each softener can be sanitized separately from each other. The softener unit BioSOFT is equipped with the unique hardness monitor SofTEC by USF, which doesn’t need any consumables like titration liquids.

The completion and delivery of the water treatment unit is scheduled for December 2017

The OptiMATE 750 plant with a capacity of 750 l/h and a BioSOFT MW/HW water softener unit with central control valves in multiway operation were chosen. The softener and RO/CEDI can be sanitized using hot water, in which each softener can be sanitized separately from each other. This means that the customer can both produce Purified Water and sanitize the softener at the same time.

Furthermore the 5m³ product tank and the distribution system USF RingMATE are in the scope of USF Water Purification. The RingMATE will be sanitized using ozone. A Steris/Finn-Aqua pure steam generator with a capacity of 250 kg pure steam per hour is also included.

The completion and delivery of the water treatment unit is planned for April 2018.

The upgrade consists of new automatic use-points, a complete new Siemens control system incl. a 19” panel-PC with local operation stations for PW dosing of different amounts into the existing PW vessels. The measurement of the PW amounts will be done with 6 pcs. of Coriolis mass flow meters.

The FAT is scheduled for September 2017 and the commissioning/handover for October 2017.
